About me
As a qualified and experienced Counsellor, I offer a warm, professional and non-judgmental space for you to share your thoughts and feelings.

I am an Integrative Counsellor and my core way of working is person-centred. This means that I use very few techniques, but rather we work together to understand what's going on for you at the moment and look at what you would like to change. I believe that everyone has the capacity to change.

My practice is underpinned by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy's (BACP) Ethical Framework. This is a set of guidelines which sets out to ensure that I work ethically and reponsibly, with your wellbeing at the heart of everything.

As well as a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, I have also trained with Cruse as a bereavement counsellor, and spent time with them counselling clients who were experiencing grief and loss. I also have experience counselling children in a school setting. However most of my counselling experience has been working with adults with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, work stress and relationship difficulties.

I also spent many years as a Listening Volunteer for the Samaritans, a role I Ioved, and which inspired me to train as a counsellor.

Most of my working life has been spent in the voluntary sector, primarily managing services supporting older and disabled people and unpaid carers.
